What is the game about?
Hidden Deep is a horror-themed sci-fi platformer that pays homage to iconic films from the 1980s and 1990s such as Alien and The Thing. A team of researchers has vanished from an underground cave system deep beneath the ocean. It’s now up to you and your team to figure out what occurred.
Players will begin by commanding a single individual, but at later stages, they will be able to control numerous persons. You’ll have to solve riddles and combat dangerous, alien monsters from the depths along the way.

Gameplay
Every operation includes a set number of Crew members, who are usually divided between Engineers and Scouts. You lose a life when a Crew member dies (or when a crucial piece of equipment, such as a Dump Truck, is destroyed). You’ll fail the level if you lose all of your lives.
Lowering the difficulty level will result in fewer foes and more lives. You will have more foes and fewer lives as the difficulty level increases.
The controls for moving around are quite ordinary. The keys A and D will move you to the left or right. Running is enabled by holding Left Shift. Pressing Space will cause you to leap while pressing W will cause you to climb up ladders.
