The action role-playing video game, Ultimate Alliance, was released by Activision in 2006 and was created by Raven Software for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Vicarious Visions ported the game to Wii and the Playstation portable.
Even Microsoft Windows received the game port from Beenox. Barking Lizards Technologies created a different Game Boy Advance version. In July 2016, Zoe Mode created a re-release version based on the most recent Xbox 360 edition for Xbox One, Windows, and PlayStation 4.

Gameplay
Players can assemble their superhero teams or reassemble well-known teams from the publications by choosing teams of four members from a selection of more than 22 playable characters (although certain characters are initially locked and must be unlocked). Additionally, bonuses are offered for forming specific groups (e.g. the Avengers, X-Men, Defenders, Fantastic Four, Marvel Knights).
Depending on how many of the extra missions the player completes, the game features multiple possible endings. There are artwork, trivia, and “simulator discs” that let characters access missions unrelated to the main plot. Also, each character has a selection of outfits that provide various benefits.
