The story of Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom centres on a young boy, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, who was thrown out from his castle and set out to create his own Kingdom. What is Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom about?
Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom takes place after hundred years of the events of ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
The game takes place in the kingdom of ding dong bell, which features a cat-like Grimalkin and mouse-like Mousekin races that are well known for their animosities. The ding dong bell kingdom is ruled by the house of Tildrum, with its present their Evan, who prepares to ascend the throne after his father’s sad demise.
When the game starts, Roland is seen to witness a massive explosion over a city. In the next few minutes, he disappears and re-emerges on screen in front of the Evan in the Ding Dong Dell. As they escape hiding from others, they come to know that Mausinger poisoned the former king so that Evan gets killed for being the prime suspect and he can take control of the kingdom.
Soon in the process, Evan’s governess Aranella dies, trying to protect the two kids from falling into the wrong hands. In her dying hours, Evan promises her that he would establish a new kingdom anyhow where every resident would be free and independent. Since then, Evan dreams of a Mysterious boy who is of his age and becomes his confidant.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a game-playing action video game that’s played from the third-person narrative. In this game, players have to complete quests that are set with objectives. They have to compete against the enemy and take care of the set objectives. Upon failing to achieve they wouldn’t be able to progress to the next rounds. If you aren’t involved in quests, you can roam around in the open world freely. You can see towns, dungeons, villages, and dangerous places that are dispersed throughout the region. When you leave one place and head to another, you enter the world map, which is useful for selecting your next destination. The pan world signifies a diorama. Here, characters are shown as chibi-like design.
When you face an enemy, you encounter a battle system. Battles happen in the open world. The players can play with a partner in their party consisting of 3 major characters. You can change your ally within your party members anytime during the game. The other two characters of the party that players can’t make command to do anything play on their own.
