What is Quantum Break about?
This game was published by famous Microsoft Studios and developed amazingly by Remedy Entertainment. The game was originally going to be a sequel to Remedy Studio’s previous game called Alan Wake. But the time travel element was added since Microsoft urged for a brand new intellectual property that came with interactive storytelling. So the developers went with a video game and television show combo.
In this game, the protagonist Jack gets into a conflict with Paul Serene, a former friend over the best course of action when it comes to dealing with the End of Time itself. Know that the time-travel experiments go awry due to Paul. But the failed experiment douses both Paul and Jack in chronon radiation that makes it possible for them to travel through time.
So both of them can travel at high speeds and freeze time as well. Also since Paul got a higher chronon dosage so he can look into his future and then decide what choices to make.

The full collapse of Paul’s time travel machine affects the time structure by creating a fracture that can freeze time and prevent time from passing without the right equipment or time-travel powers. Now, it’s up to Paul and his trusty ally Beth to set things right.
However, time-traveling doesn’t happen arbitrarily in this game. There are rules to it. One is that time absolutely can’t be altered as a result of a traveler’s actions. The second rule says that time travelers will only be able to move between the machines that are placed at various times by making of the very same core. As such, you won’t be able to move back in time before the core was powered up for the first time.

You will be playing the game from a 3rd personal perspective as Jack. There will be a lot of enemies to avoid and deal with, like the Monarch security agents who have special suits that allow them to expertly manipulate time. Along with this, some Juggernauts are heavily armored and carry powerful firearms. To defeat them you will have to use various strategies and tactics.
There are both defensive and offensive abilities you can use to defeat your enemies. Let’s start with the offensive for now. Know that there are 4 kinds of firearms, namely assault rifles, pistols, carbine rifles, and shotguns for you to choose from. Apart from this Jack can also freeze time, rush an enemy, speed time up, and freeze enemies.
As for defensive abilities, there are is the Time Shield that can deflect all sorts of incoming damage. Along with this, the Time dodge ability will let you dash away to evade enemy attacks.
