The narrative of the game is somewhat given in the name itself. You slash your way with a melee as well as some gun-like magic wands through the game to collect loot along the way inside dungeons.

According to the narrative, the player was previously imprisoned and was left to fester in a ghastly structure named “slasher’s keep”.
The player wakes up, with no knowledge of themselves, nameless and stripped to their last clothing. In the oncoming hours of gameplay, the player will have to fight through 10 floors to escape the prison he woke up in. The game allows the player to pick different characters; however, the enemies and bosses stay the same. The only real change that occurs in the game is the story texts that happen to pop up in between floors.

There are several characters the game has to offer; Jellyman, Undead, and Northerner The player needs to level up to unlock each character.

The game includes a drag and drop based crafting system and the graphics are majorly made up of sprites drawn by hand and characters that are cel-shaded Players need to find a smithy to successfully craft a weapon. A smithy is found on dungeon floor 3 and then on every second level after that, alternating with the shop
The dynamic color contrast makes the game look as attractive as a 3D game can get and there is a certainty that once you play it, you won’t be disappointed.
Slasher’s keep, all in all, is an addictive and interactive game with moderate graphics well enough to keep you on the edge of your seat slashing away enemies and collecting equipment’s while the dungeon biome around you gradually changes as you complete a level.
