Kalypso Media has time and again provided the gaming world with an amazing and fun game. Ever since its foundation in the year 2006, Kalypso media has been the source of some of the most light-hearted games which at the same time tested the players’ skills as well. This time too it is back with such a game named Tropico. Tropico 6 is one of the installments in the gaming series by the name.
The game is perfect for a time when you just want to sit back and relax, but at the same time have something challenging at hand- what could be more challenging than managing your city? And that is exactly what Tropico 6 is all about. We have listed here for you all that you can enjoy in the game and all that it has to offer to its players. So if you want to know more about the game and its features then start reading!
What is the game about?
Developed by Limbic Entertainment and brought to us by Kalypso Media. This game can be played both in single-player and multiplayer gaming modes. On its release, it faced pretty favourable comments and positive feedbacks.
The game involves the player building a city. But it does not stop just there. Once the city is fully formed, it is the player’s responsibility to look after it and maintain it properly- governing and managing the place. This installment in the game series follows the general pattern of the previous installments only. The player takes the role of the head of the Caribbean island nation of Tropico, El President. This character is thereafter entrusted with the duty of serving the people of the nation, looking after their needs and welfare, and securing for them a good place to reside in.
The plot seems to be quite a simple and monotonous one period, but the challenges that the game provides along the way make the game worth playing it. The gameplay also helps too make the game more interesting.
This game can be played both in single-player and multiplayer modes. It is now available on quite a few gaming platforms, including of course your PC.
Like its previous installment, Tropico 6 also has four eras. They are the world War era, the colonial era, the Cold War era, and lastly the modern era. However, while Tropico 6 follows its ancestors in most cases, it also has newer features included in the game. Its predecessor in the gaming series had only one island. But in this installment, the players can even create a collection of small islands. They can even build bridges to connect them and build a chain of islands.
The most entertaining and interesting aspect of the gameplay is that the city has simulated citizens. So what the leader decides and how the government deals with a particular situation, would also affect the behaviour of the citizens and therefore the productivity of the city. You need to be careful as when faced with dire conditions, citizens can even rise in revolt against the government!
Features of the game
Even though the plot of Tropico 6 seems pretty simple and basic, the game makes up for that by providing a collection of amazing features that could surely better your gaming experience and add more spark to your gaming sessions. Here are some of the features that the game offers its players.
- Customise your character
The player usually plays the role of the leader of the nation. He is the one who leaves the government of the city. Before the game starts the player can customise the character of the leader according to his preferences and choices as to how little should look like and otherwise. This makes the player more involved in the game.
- Simulated citizens
Simulation is one of the best gaming genres out there. In this particular game, the aspect of simulation has been blended into the plot quite finely. The citizens are simulated. They would no longer remain unaffected by the decisions that the government or the leaders make. If the situation calls for it, and if you are not sincere enough in adding to the duties of a leader, it could also result in protests and revolts by the citizens.
- Multiplayer mode
Everything becomes more fun and interesting with your friends. This game allows you to double the fun by playing it with your friends. It also gives you the feature to communicate with your friends throughout the game.
- Simple but interesting
The game has a pretty simple user interface. The instructions that the game gives to Claire and the way you must pursue the game, are pretty easy to understand. But this basic nature of the game does not compromise with the fun aspect of it. The game despite being so easy and simple to understand never renders itself boring for the bears. It always has a certain challenge that the player must overcome in the game.
If you have not yet given the game a try, we advocate that you do. If you have already tried all the other installments in the series, you would know that there is little chance of disappointment in this case as well. If you are new to the series as a whole, you could even try out the other installments. All in all, Tropico 6 is one of the best games out there and deserves a fair shot!
